And the Malaysian team got exposed against Vietnam.
"W vip e shouldn't blame external factors (the referee) for the loss against Vietnam, but instead ask ourselves what are our strengths and weaknesses," casino  said Jamal.

"There are no standouts (naturalised players) in the team for me. They should be one-two steps ahead of our locals but right now they are either on par with them or even just below them.

"It's going to be a 50-50 match against Singapore," said Jamal.

KUALA LUMPUR:  slot Former international Datuk Jamal Nasir believes Harimau Malaya showed their true colours against Vietnam on Tuesday, and it was not impressive.
Malaysia lost 3-0 to Vietnam in a Group B match in Hanoi in the AFF Cup.
"From what I can see, the teamwork isn't really there.
On the loss to Vietnam, Jamal said Malaysia had only one to two scoring chances, didn't challenge the header that led to a goal and didn't read the corner kick (that led to another goal).
This has put Malaysia in a situation where they nust beat Singapore in their final group match at Bukit Jalil on Tuesday if they are to qualify for the semi-finals.

"There are many weaknesses that need to be fixed. If JDT players (they declined selection as the AFF Cup is held outside the Fifa window), are not around, the existing group of players need to step up.

"There's no cohesion to allow for fast, short passes between players. International football no longer plays long ball."
But Jamal doesn't see Malaysia having the edge over their Causewway neighbours.
